What is a role?

A role is a predefined set of permissions assigned to users; assigned users inherit the role's permissions. Users can hold multiple roles and inherit all their permissions, and updating a role automatically updates everyone assigned to it. AlarisPro provides canned roles that cannot be deleted: Pilot, Maintainer, Accountable Manager, and Safety Officer.
